Default Sos Need Help

I travelled 1500 miles to visit parents in Lake Charles, LA. where hurricane Rita struck. I ran over a 5 foot landscape timber laying across the highway. Blew out right front and rear tires and bent both rims. Did not have any body damage. With insurance got 2 new polished rims and tires for right side. When i got the car back there was still a vibration. Returned car to dealer in Lake Charles and discovered both left rims warped. Dealer having difficulty locating rear polished left rim. Can someone help me find a rear rim so that i can get home. Been here 2 weeks now. Ready to go home.

These rims can be straightened also. Check the phone book in the area. It only takes an hour or so, depending on how bad it is.

UPDATE
I'm back home safe and sound. Glad to be back. Scary experience in Lake Charles. I was on highway traveling 70 mph when accident occured and a 18 wheeler was on the side of me in other lane. Could not avoid landscape timber. I am impressed with durability of car and goodyear runflats. Because of this experience when I need new tires I will be going back with goodyear runflats. For now I have brand new tires and rims. I did not lose control and ended up driving car 10 miles to parents house. After seeing damage the next morning I also drove car to Lake Charles chevy dealer. Had a good trip back and averged 27 mpg with two 400 miles legs at 28.6 mpg. I also substained damage in right corner of hatchback liftgate where the paint cracked about 1/2 inch squared. Can't hardly see it but it really bothers me. Where can I find a good fiberglass bodyshop in the Waukegan or Libertyville,IL. area?

First, Welcome back home!

Scarry situation, with what looks to be a happy ending.

Second, Glad to hear the car handled well.

You might want to try linking to the Regional Discussion Link to your left on this page. Go to Great Lakes and post the same question. There are plenty of knowledgeable folks from Chi-town that will steer you in right direction.

The only place I have seen that works on vettes is on Ogden Ave., near 355. Don't know the name or if it is of any quality.

Good luck!!
