I have finally decided to tint my car, but I am a little concerned about the issue of the back window. I would love to have one-piece install in the rear window. Does anyone know of a good window tinting company in the Tampa/Brandon area?
Another thing I found out is it is hard to get the tint material to lay flat at the top of the rear window of the coupe. The window is full of little dots. My tint looks like crap up in that area. Installer warned me that he couldn't do anything about it.

if he'd used steel wool and some 70% alcohol, you wouldn't have that problem. you can even shave the dots down with a razor blade too if you have the time. but steel wool works fine.

Your installer should have told you to take a sponge or towel and press the film into the dots during the first week as it dries. If you do that the film will bend itself around the dots a bit and become much nicer looking. You have to do it once or twice a day for the first week or so, working from the lower dots out to the edge of the window. It takes a lot of pressure to do it right, so don't be gentle...
He said nothing. Is the sponge/towel wet when you do this? Or is the tint material still wet? It has been a week tomorrow - hope it's not too late.
I used a dry microfiber towel. Just press the film into the dots. Helps if the film is hot, like in the sun for a few hours. It doesn't come out perfect but better than doing nothing. Here a part of mine:
Please let me know how you make out with this. I'm in Tampa and want to get mine done asap. A lot of heat comes in through the side windows! Thanks.
