Yesterday, I ordered my dream vehicle, a new MN6 sp Monty red vert ( I still want to call it a "roadster"). After calling every local Chevy dealer in the area with no luck, I was able to get a GMID deal from Purifoy Chevrolet in Ft Lupton, CO. They seemed like true Corvette enthusiasts, as opposed to the typical dealership sales force, none of whom initially even knew what GMID was. Although I haven't closed on it yet, it appears that there will be no additional advertising fee or processing fee! Lets hope.
This will be my first Corvette. I was able to drive one last summer at the GM in motion program. Lot's of fun, they even had 6 speed manuals to try at the show. My present roadster is a Miata, so this will be quite a change! I actually love the Miata very much, and it will be hard to see her go after 15 years! I already have three unsolicited offers!
I have been lurking on this board for over a year, and must say it has been an extremely valuable source of information. I'm not sure if I could have done it without you guys and gals.
I promise to wave at ya! I'll have a big grin on my face and the top down.
