Robb Report - 14 World Class Automobiles
Robb Report For The Luxury Lifestyle is a magazine devoted to the finer things in life...fine wine...fine cigars...fine watches...fine homes...fine automobiles, etc. The Feb 2006 issue features 14 World-Class Automobiles, ranks them, and names the Car of the Year. Here are the results:
1. Ferrari F430 Spider - Car of the Year - $199,000 base price
2. Bently Continental Flying Spur - $165,000
3. Aston Martin V8 Vantage (tie) - $110,000
3. Mercedes-Benz CLS55 AMG (tie) - $87,500
5. Maserati GranSport - $98,500
6. Chevrolet Corvette Z06 - $65,800
7. Audi A8 L W12 (tie) - $119,000
7. BMW M5 (tie) - $81,000
9. Lexus RX400h - $46,800
10. Spyker C8 Spyder - $270,000
11. Fisker Tramonto - $234,000
12. Land Rover Range Rover Sport - $69,750
13. Dodge Viper SRT-10 Coupe - $87,000

It is nice to quote the sticker for the Z in a magazine article but unless you put a deposit down when FDR was in office, you will not sniff $65K.... Outside of one or two of those cars on that list, I wonder how a Z at $10K to $15K over sticker will be valued/depreciate against the others listed in say two years ? 
I know, future value/depreciation has nothing to do with it....
