While visiting a friend after my museum pickup, I got a little bit of snow in Louisville. It looked like most had melted, so I went for a slow drive (~10mph) through this park. There were still a few patches of snow here and there, but nothing that looked serious. As I took this one corner, the entire car started sliding, then (within a 2-3 second time frame, seemed like forever) I saw the active handling light illuminate and heard what sounded like motors turning on in the engine compartment, and the next thing I knew I was driving perfectly straight again! At least I got some cool pictures out of the day.

PHew close one.... I think though 2-3 seconds is more than enough time for a really bad situation to develop. Is this pretty common reaction time for the active handling?
Like the owners manual for my 750IL says... paraphrashing. Active handling is great but nothing can counter the LAWS of physics.
I am glad YOU and your baby are safe. Good picts BTW. Crop the top a bit and maybe a bit on the right and left side and the first pict could with better lighting be an advertising photo. Really good eye.

The active handling kicked in right away, almost instantaneous with the slide. It took about 2-3 seconds for everything to be back to normal. Glad you liked the pic.
