Another south Florida guy, I have a VicRed as well. Make sure you come out to Tower Shops in Davie one Friday and show off your baby. Anyhow, here are a few tips and this is one subject you can find a ton of links if you search the forum.
Get a floor jack and a couple of jack stands. Useful anytime you need to lift your vette. Can get them anywhere and prices start under $75 and go up from there. http://www.northerntool.com/webapp/...05493_200305493
However for the ultimate in looks you should consider corvette pilots powder coated work. Many examples here on the forum and his work is fantastic. I'm on the list and waiting my turn. Any good dealer, tire or brake shop can install but if your handy with a wrench you can take them off yourself, just need to bleed the lines first. http://www.thepowdercoater.com/ http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show...post1553566406
Good Luck on whatever option you choose. A must have mod.
I used the powder coater and love the results. He is fast reasonably priced and its powder coated. I has seen many "painted" calipers (some better than others). I decided that I wanted it done professionally that way if it looked bad I had someone to go to. I also think that the powder coating will simply hold up better in the long run IMO.
