Default Z51 Badging?

Do the C6 Z51s come with badging to denote they are Z51s? Or do you just look for the drilled rotors? I just ordered one because I recognize the value in the Z51 option, but I don't even know if they are marked.

The drilled rotor's make the car a Z51 to the informed Corvette person. Badges are not necessary and not standard equiptment.

There really is no way to identify a Z51. There is no badging. You could look at the rotors, but then again, I have an F55 and I'm ordering drilled rotors strictly for looks. Anyone who tracks there car often will probably have replaced their drilled rotors with solid rotors as well.

You'd think if that many people wanted them GM would submit ...

None from the factory....yet. I wouldn't be a bit surprised to see them in the future, kinda like like Z71, or Z28, or ZR1 etc... which all started out as RPOs and became models.

Not another...... How many post can there be in one week on this subject.

A coupe or vert with the Z51 option is not a seperate model. Thus no badge. The C5s with Z51 didn't have any badging either.

Anyone can upgrade the brake system to the Z51 brake package

The "badging" is inside the glove box door. This is the most reliable way to tell if it really is a Z51.

If the car has it's original tires on it, they will be Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT Supercar tires.

Also consider how many people went to the trouble to cut C5 Z06 style rear brake vents, and installed C5 Z06 style front screens into their non Z06 C5s.

And as mentioned above Z51 owners take them off for standard rotors. Z51 is not a model. I am considering a NAV badge.

You should get it. But only if your car really has NAV.

The front quarter can have a badge for each and every option. That way everyone will be all 'impressed' on how much you spent on your car.

We should be nice to the n00b......but I'll have to admit I don't understand all this angst and desire to advertise the Z51. My 03 has it, but I've never thought there was a need to advertise it. Very odd.
