S sport mode will give more crisp shifts as it learns your agressive dreiving habits. S alson enables the paddle shifters. Once enabled, you need to use them until you select D or drone drive.

I haven't measured it, but I have noticed a definite increase in fuel consumption when I have it in Sport mode around town. And it’s not due to more aggressive driving in S mode…
