Default Difference between '06 & '07 and request

Hey, i'm over here from the C2 section, my father and i are planning to buy a C6 convertible soon, but we were deciding on wether it was worth buying a 06 now or waiting till the 07 comes out. Does anybody know any differences there will be between the two years? (exterior, interior or mechanical)

And as a humble request, can anybody post a combo of daytona orange sunset exterior with casmere interior and a cashmere soft top? that is our desired pick....just wanted to see how it would look before we ordered one...
Thank you very much,
Jason B.

Other then offering the new color of atomic orange, don't think any new changes have been announced. Not expected any big changes.

Welcome to the C6 side!!

Noone knows yet what the differences or changes for 2007 will be yet. The only thing known for sure is that Daytona Sunset Orange is going away. The last day for the dealers to order it is in the very near future--so you better order quick if that's what you want. It's being replaced by Atomic Orange, which everyone is speculating is much brighter.

You cannot order Daytona Sunset Orange anymore. Better hurry to find one with a Cashmere top and Interior

IMO, the C6 will change its tail lights from round to square, like the C4s did.
When, I don't know.
No big deal.

I don't think you can order DSOM anymore, you would have to find one on a dealer's lot or buy used. As for waiting for an '07, why wait? When the '07 comes out people will be saying should I wait for an '08. Things will always change and some people will never be happy. Buy the car and enjoy it! From what I understand changes will be minimal - radio control on steering wheel, new colors, old colors gone - not much more than that.

Have not seen nor heard anything that indicates any exterior (other than color choice), interior or mechanical changes for 07 are expected.

I just did a search and it appears that there are 13 C6 that match the criteria listed above. Go to http://www.jeffhardy.com/lookupvette.php

The user ID and password are both corvetteforum

Good luck

The only known change for '07 are that Daytona Sunset Orange will be replaced with Atomic Orange, which is rumored to be a little brighter. And, as of April 1, 2006, DSOM can no longer be ordered on an '06.

The only credible rumored change for '07 are steering wheel radio controls. Other wild rumors abound here, such as the above tail light post and posts about additional horsepower, but they are not credible.

I believe GM has an announced policy of OnStar on every car for 2007 and beyond. If you believe this, and you do not need/want OnStar on your Corvette, then a 2006 model might be right for you. Particularly if you want DSOM and cashmere.

By the way, C2 Stingrays are ULTRA-COOL .

I hope you are wrong. Real Corvette's have round tail lights. Even if they do change them , it won't be in 2007...this person was inquiring about the difference between 2006 and 2007.

The last day to order a DSOM was April 1st. You will need to find one on a dealers lot if you want that color.
