anyone know what this is about.I know my cap is tight and before i go to the dealer i was wondering if anyone has a similiar issue ??? I started with a half a tank., and won't go away. Thanks for any help.
I had this code appear on two different occasions. Other forum members suggested that when I replace the gas cap after filling up to place it gently on the fill hole (do not try to force it on or use pressure - easy does it) and make sure the cap clicks 3 times. I have been doing that with success ever since. The forum saved me an unnecessary trip to the dealer. Thanks again
Never had a problem. But we in NJ have highly skilled gasologists direct from an assortment of third world countries who pump our gas for us and carefully replace the gas cap!

Hey, come on. Give 'em a break. They are computer programmers who were laid off by AT&T there.

Had this code "continually" and it turned out not to be gas cap problem but a broken pipe that links the 2 gas tanks. A vapor leak anywhere in the system apparently triggers the same code. Took a "clever" service department with "smoke generating leak finding" equipment to determine the source of the vapor leak and then they could fix it.
