Default "Check Gas Cap"

can't get it off my DIC....I've checked it a bunch of times and its fine....anyone else ever have this problem....damn computers

yes and for the computer to rest itself will take about five years...i undid my battery and all is good

It'll go away by itself after a certain number of driving cycles, or the delaer can reset it in about 2 minutes.

Yup it happened to me too, I was told that the gas cap seal was not sealing properly due to my not turning the gas cap enough times when screwing it in....not enough clicks. The dealership replaced the seal and the message went away. Did you reset your dic? I didn't realize it was so important to turn the gas cap **** and actually make it click at least three times. (I guess the air can get in there if you don't) I know better now.
