Have any of you guys herad this one? My local dealer ( Jon Hall Chevrolet in Daytona Beach Fl ) telling me chevy dealers can't honor
gmid or gms pricing on corvettes because it affects their allocation.
He's telling me corvettes sold with gmid or gms pricing don't count
toward their allocation. One step further, he'll turn any dealer in
to GM for selling this way.

Les Stanford Chevrolet - Dearborn, MI (Rick Daniels) will honor the discount and "drop ship" the car to your local dealer. It arrives like a fleet car through fleet sales. How's that for pie in your dealers face! I think they stop honering early spring and start back in late fall. Better hurry !!

I ordered a 06' coupe from Rick Daniels using a GMID last week. I live in Harrisburg, PA and many of the area dealers won't honor it. Heck, i was in Sutliff Chevrolet last week and they wouldn't give me the time of day! I was in Klick-Lewis Chevrolet last week checking out the color combination I ordered, and they advised they would honor the GMID. They had 4 06's on the floor and a left over 05. Rick Daniels advised me that last Friday was the cut off date for accepting 06' orders, but you may want to give him a call. I'm scheduled to take delivery in mid-June to an Harrisburg area Chevy dealer (not Sutliff!)

Um... no other way to put this. Your dealer is a scum bag and a liar. The dealer can decide if they want to honor GMID or GMS. Your dealer has apparently decided not to honor them and is trying to blame someone else for their decision. Run, don't walk, away from this dealer.

I got mine using GMS from a local dealer.

I used Rick Daniels at Les Stanford and He honered my GMID back in early March. I flew into Detroit and they picked me up at the Airport. The Whole process went very smooth.
Give him a call you cant go wrong.

I ordered from Rick at Stanford on 2/9 with GMID pricing...car was produced on 3/13 and delivered to local dealer on 03/28...I picked it up on 03/31. The local chevy dealer that took my courtesy delivery told me after the fact that she would have accepted my GMID happily because it's an easy sale and she gets a few points back from GM and an additional allocation. Now,that's easy for her to say after the fact but who knows. The key is of course that she likely doesn't have the allocation to order the car and have it built and delivered in 6 weeks like Stanford or Kerbeck does. Also she said she would gladly have accepted GMS as well as she gets an even bigger kickback from GM for this. I cannot verify any of this but this is what she told me.

I got the same results from the local dealers here in houston Texas. They where all honest except Westside in Katy TX. They said the Corvette was not eligible. I hate being lied to.

I do have a question. Does the dealer that accepts GMID get any extra cmpensation for it?

Jimmie Johnson honored mine in San Diego.

Now why would someone say that Corvettes were not included?

Hmmmm

I used Tommy Jr at MacMulkin in New Hampshire. Had the courtesy delivery at Garrett Motors in Coolidge Arizona. Absolutely smoothest car buying experience I've ever experienced! Tommy Jr is highly recommended! No doc fees, no hidden costs, you can reach him day and night.

I used my GMID to order my '06 Coupe last Feb.

There were only two dealers in Jacksonville who would take GMID. Dealer participation is voluntary, but they do have to have an allocation to order. The dealer only makes $500 over invoice, and that is the "True" invoice as GM sets the price. GMID is not available on the Z06 however.

Go to www.GMFAMILYFIRST.com and select the GMID dropdown to see what the pricing is.
