Default Lowering C6

Anyone know a place where I can get my vette lowered? I live in L.A./Orange County area is fine. I want to reduce the gap between the wheel and the fender. Thanks!

I'm going to West Coast Corvettes tomorrow. it's off the 91 and 57 on Melrose Ave. Exit Orangethorpe, go east to Melrose and hang a right. You can't miss it. Quoted me at $280.

do it yourself, its way too easy to waist $280 for 20-30 mins of work
just my 2 cents (or $280 adjusted for inflation)

Just picked mine up from John and the crew at WCC. I only lowered it 1.25" to get rid of the gap on some WCC lowering bolts. The CCW 505a's are being built and the ZO6 fenders are being sprayed. In 3 weeks the brakes, fenders and wheels should be done.

I got mine lowered at WCC in Sept. They did an excellent job. It was approximatelt $280 but it was done correct. It is different from a C5 and therefore cost more because it is more detail. The ride is still good. I've sent others there also and they were pleased.

Whats different? I did my C6 the exact same way I did my C5.If you want it real low you do have to cut the bushings and this takes more time, more work...

My understanding is lowering the car using the stock bolts and not cutting the bushing is a relatively quick job which does not necessitate removing suspension arms and yield about 1/2 inch drop. Cutting the bushings and/or changing thle lbolts is a much more envolved job but yields a greater amount of lowering.
Is this correct?

That's right. Also of note, you can gain about a full inch of height at the front by cranking the stock bolts the other way. This'll stop a lot of the (expensive) problems with the lower radiator supports bottoming and breaking when briskly crossing a crowned intersection.

It depends on where your stock bolts were set at the factory. I got less than a quarter inch out of the stock bolts. I will probably go with the WCC bolts.

Does the $280 price include a wheel alignment?

I live in OC and can tell you they all want to charge close to $300 just to change out the bolts?
I adjusted to the lowest setting on the stock bolts. Probably will change-out bolts soon (already purchased them from WCC). It looks fairly easy. Just wandering if it is better to remove the shock bolt to lower arms?
