Default Outside Mirror Gap Problem?

Both outside mirrors on my new C-6 coupe have about an 1/8 " gap where the mirror attaches to the base. Is this correct and within specifications?

Never did measure mine, but that gap looked very wide on my PR 05 coupe. It's not quite as wide on my silver coupe, but without measuring, I'd say mine is probably closer to 1/16 of an inch. I could measure it later today.

Mine are not an 1/8", but there has to be some clearance to allow the mirror to pivot on the pedestal. If they are tight, on the mount I would suggest they are installed properly.

Mine is 1/8" on left and flush on right. I don't like the gap but don't know what to do about it.

I guess I notice the left gap more because I'm close to it while driving.

Default Gap in Mirror

I was told that that Corvettes with Nav have the antenna built into the mirror.Perhaps this is the reason for the gap and yes I have the gap on my side not on passengers.

I think some people just go out of their way to find stuff to ask about. I was going to write complain but he didn't, he just asked a question.

Sorry!

If the mirror is tight as someone said, what's the beef?

1/16" where the mirror meets the pedestal on both sides.

Both sides, I've read that more than just a few times, so I believe I can trust it's correct.

GPS antenna is in the top of the dash, XM in the outside mirror(s).
