Thank you for the info. You know buying one of these cars is like buying a computer, wait a few months and they will have one out that has a bunch of stuff the one you have doesn't.....

Everyone knows that the unconfirmed scuttlebutt has been out there. And as usual, our sources are accurate. However, it's nice to have the rumors confirmed by an official source.

Thanks Ken

Guess I need to add Z51 badges now, since the cross drilled rotors are no longer unique to mark it as a Z51.

Thanks Ken, for the "official" news on the 2007 changes.

Can you get some detail about the acqstc noise reduction? I'd like to know how they are approaching this.

Ken,
Thanks for the great heads up on the 07's..

1 question... the Z06 is listed with the interior choices.... are these just the bolster colors similar to this past year?? or are they going to off other interior color options this time around?

I wish they would offer the ebony with colored inserts like the other colors. Black with red perfs would be nice, as would the dark gray.

Oh well... those are the 2008 changes then...

I didn't see OnStar as an option. Does that mean it's now standard? I wonder how much that will add to the new base pricing? Along with the "now standard" power vert top? I didn't like, want or need OnStar when I ordered my 06. I sure as heck wouldn't want it shoved down my throat as "standard" with a base price bump.

Tell me I wrong?

It will be interesting to determine whether the 3LT package and F-55 will increase in price for 2007

Can't wait to see the orange in person in the day light. Looks like they've addressed a couple of things folks have been complaining about, the audio system, and the steering wheel controls.

And it's been that way here for 6 years: 10 to 12 months before a new model is released, rumors abound (from every aspect of the car including styling, to paint colors, steering wheel controls, HP, auto tranny or targa top in the Z06, wheel sizes, number of gears in the tranny, axle ratios, interior colors, etc). Then as the lead time shortens, the rumors become more accurate. By the time we get within 3 or 4 weeks of release, our infomation is dead on.

This is nothing new. And we still thank our official Forum supporting dealers when they come on and confirm what is true. And even at that late date, you can walk into a Chevy dealership and be more knowledgeable than 80% of the salesmen on the floor. Therefore, Ken's post is wothwhile.

LOL, that's funny, thinking that too. Now I can't just look at a vette and say "ewww no Z-51"

No you don't! A DSOM car with drilled rotors will be a Z51 since there won't be any DSOM cars next year!
