Pretty cool, (in this month's issue, on the 10 best cars under $50K)....
1. Chevy C6 Corvette $44,490
The C5 Corvette, sniffed the Euro snobs, was too big to compete with proper sports cars. Chevy responded by cramming the C6 Corvette into a package that's an inch shorter than a Porsche 911. Then it dropped 400 hp under the hood, priced it for less than $45,000, stepped back, and said, "What's up now, bitches?" The Corvette's performance-for-dollar ratio is akin to a rookie pitcher who wins the Cy Young Award while making the league minimum. It does 186 miles per hour. It gets 28 miles per gallon on the highway. It's ten pounds of awesome in a five pound bag.
