Default Clear Coat

Has any one heard of giving the clear coat a chance to "cure." I made teh mistake of scratching off one tiny stain with my fingernail, and in doing so put some very superficial scratches in my clear coat. The car is only a week old, born on date 4/10/06. I realize it's extrmely **** of me, but ny ideas on repairs. Do I just need to buff it out? Thanks

Clear coat is baked on in the factory. It will not get any harder with time. It is pretty well know the C6 (and C5 for that matter) clear coat is very soft and prone to scratching. Take care with anything abrasive.
