Early-built 2007's included: #003, black coupe, #008 silver Z06, #016 yellow Z06, #017 atomic orange vert, #019 atomic orange coupe, #021 atomic orange vert, and #022 white vert. After 2 rainy days and one sunny day of comparing the oranges, I think the old DSOM actually "pops" more in the sun than the new Atomic. Atomic is a bit lighter and is one of those medium metallic colors where you see the metallic more than the depth of the paint. DSOM has more red in it, AO is more copper. Its close to the color used on Cavaliers and Grandams but its a "premium tint coat", so it can't be the same.
The dealer installed BSM's are flat-topped and don't extend out nearly as far as the pointed C5 BSM's did. The end is angle-cut.
The chrome wheels are from Speedline, the others are from Molded Wheel until this June. The inner part of the chrome wheels have a finish that looks like gray primer.
Some pics they showed of the new fob show a remote-start button but the production version does not have it.
MRC will include Z51 drilled rotors, calipers, brackets, and pads; not Supercar tires or other Z51 components.
Engineers said owners want the 6-auto to respond quicker to the paddles. They have made changes to address that, don't say when they will be implemented.
And here's a familiar subject: in the future there "won't be a convertible Z06", "there won't be an automatic Z06", but there "WILL be a white Z06, now lets see if you'll buy it".
Did you by chance see the dealer-installed 427 badge?
Yes, it looks great. It is thicker at the top to be more visable fron the side of the car instead of laying flat. I complemented Kurt Bannion on his design, he said they researched all of Chevy's past 427 emblems for inspiration. It will come with a template for proper location.
I love that line. There are a lot of things owners want that we don't get. They have very selective hearing - don't they?

It might have something to do with the close to zero unit cost of implementation.
They do one bleeping good job of producing an exceptional product for a very reasonable price and don't want to lose that.

8 yrs ago, our then county road commissioner paved our 2 mile section of road. His successors allowed the road to deteriorate to the point of no return. Thus, the only fix was to re-build the road. And, due to a lack of county funds, we are back to square one. An all weather gravel road! Such is life. At least they didn't oil it. Yeacccch !

Expect the reprogrammed automatic starting with the 2007 build. The white Z06 will have to wait until there is more capacity/storage at the plant or when they drop one of the six colors they have now.
Living on an all weather gravel road, I'd buy white. I can not keep blk clean.
Gravel road! OMG. Dude, you have to move! Here's how shallow I am, I had a date with someone, and kind of liked him, but when he told me he lived on a gravel road, I told him it would never work out and I never saw him again. The gravel road was one of the biggest reasons, hahahahahahahaha
