Default Removing lower rear 'diffuser' ?

Just wondering what the level of ease/difficulty is in removing/replacing the lower rear diffuser/spoiler with the reverse lights? Dealer was going to replace mine and then said that in order to do so they'd have to remove the entire rear fascia of the car (???) which didn't sound right to me. Going to take the car to dealership tomorrow for an ABS light and wanted to have a better understanding. They said they looked it up in their system, but that sounds like a lot of work just to get to that plastic piece.

As always, any and all help is appreciated

that is the right way to do it but it can be done and has been by others on here. for me the extra time to do it is not a big deal.

Easiest way to remove rear diffuser is to jack the car up and first remove the rear wheels. After the wheels are off, next remove the rear wheel liners ( 7 x 7mm screws and 4 push pins) Remove 2 bracket bolts and washers (10mm deep socket) that hold the center of the valance to the car. Remove 3 x 7mm screws from each side of the valance, removal of the wheel liners makes access to these screws fairly simple. Gently pull the valance/diffuser from the vehicle while at the same time pushing the top securing tabs down from the back side of the valance. There are seven tabs. Before you pull it all the way off, disconnect the backup lamp harnesses. Valance/diffuser should now be off !

Thanks for the info! Heading up there now, will see what I can work out with them about the diffuser and get this ABS light fixed.
