Default The wave explained

most cars in a niche market, used to acknowledge each others presence. For instance, in my BMW 1995 M3 we used to flash the lights. In my Porsche 1985 928s we used to flash lights wave or nod or anything (hard to flash lights in a pop up light vehicle). As the years have gone by, more people own these cars, and they are not as exclusive as they used to be, and people are buying them for the bling status only, as opposed to being an (enthusiast). This is why "Save the Wave" is important, if you are a car enthusiast wave - if you do not get a response, then you understand that the person is a blinger (or maybe just in a really bad mood). Any enthusiast respects the capabilities of a legit sports car, and will respond accordingly. If they do not wave, screw them.

I didn't get waves back from a couple of C6er's this week. They just stared blankly looking totally clueless. Not uncommon among late model Corvette owners but that's the way it is.

The vette n00bs don't seem to have the esprit de corps.

an enthusiast will respect a well designed car, performance car, etc. period.......did I say period.............., or a niche car. When I bought My 95 M3, I wouldn't acknowledge the corresponding vette year, because it couldn't compare. Now that I actually have a vette, which (in my opinion beats the current M3), I wave to all vettes, to respect the history of what it took to get it where it is today. I apologize to all of the pre-C5 owners (not including the classic vettes, as they have a nostalgia level of respect that is due to the American Muscle cars---I really want a 67 Stingray), but at this point in time, if you get no respect ...then it is because you have come across an unknowledgeable car owner, and he doesn't deserve your respect.

As a caveat, I am torn, because I know the new M3 due out in a couple of years will damn well better be on par, or better than the C6/Z06-----which one to keep in the garage??????????? and which one to leave in the elements??????
