The wrong car
The dealer called to say the 06 MRM had arrived today but wouldn't be ready until monday. Ok I can wait, I'm at work anyway. I get off from work and drive out there to see if they are still open maybe I can get a look at it.
Over there on the end!!!!!!!!! that one must be mine, it wasn't here yesterday. The wheels don't really look chrome, but maybe they're dirty. The second roof should be inside.........not. Wait this ain't a cashmere interior. What is that VIN #? I know the one Kevin gave me didn't end with 5555. Something is amiss

Capt, your C6 is probably in doors in the service department where it has received it's tech checkout or will be checked out Monday.

It sounds to me like you have identified the wrong car on your dealer's lot as your own, especially since the VIN for your car doesn't match. Wait until you can verify with the salesman where YOUR car is until you convince yourself a mistake has been made.
It's a rare occourance of a vette getting ordered incorrectly. In the year that I've been a member on the forum, I've only seen two cases, and one of them was mine.
In my case, a white vert was waiting for me at the NCM to pick up when the dealer should have ordered a blue coupe.
