Has anyone registered for the OnStar diagnostics where they email you a report every month for your vehicle ? Can someone post a copy of what they email out to you. I want to see if this is worth the trouble of signing up for.
I won't post it due to sensitive info in the report (account number, phone number, etc). Basically it gives a run down of any DIC codes that might be active (engine/tranny, airbag, ABS, OnStar). Also gives recommended maintenance based on mileage and oil life remaining. Gives subscription info to OnStar, XM and hands free phone info (minutes, number, etc).
I've got that option, but I get my reports by email. Quite honestly, I don't remember everything that's on it. I do remember it reports your odometer mileage, % oil life left, and about 3 or 4 other things. It's hardly worth the effort to sign up, to me.

You know you could strip the sensitive info out before you cut and paste. I just wanted to see what information is provided. I have a feeling it is mostly fluff and does not give you any real information about potential problems that you may see on a month to month comparison. OnStar is grabbing at anything to increase and hold on to their user base. It won't be too long before they will have movie reviews available thru OnStar.

It's a picture, and I don't have editing tools on this computer. I gave you the info - I think you can make your decision based on that Again, it's just looking at codes that I used to be able to pull up myself on the C5.
I guess if GM mandates the install of ONsnitch in all their cars/trucks by the next model year, I'll become rather adept at removing the fuse.
Best bet is they will wire it in a way that you will need to be a engineer to disable it that way. That fuse/wire will be connected to a few different things. Think of the DRLs. Not a easy job. The lawyers design the cars today not Engineers.

I've got OnStar diagnostics on my 2005 Tahoe, but when I tried to sign up for my 2006 vert (Oct build), they said I couldn't do it. I had heard that they had an older Digital system put in the Vettes to avoid the DBS, but who knows why?????

That's about what they told me when I tried to register my 2006 (built in November). I don't really want/need the diagnostics, but I was just messing with it and it wouldn't work.
