Ok, Just want to see how many of you can relate to this. I would say that I have been somewhat fanatical about my pursuit of getting a corvette. I have spent countless hours looking online and at this forum. I use my off days to go and look at different dealers, I talked my wife into going to a car show the other night to see if there were any C6's there. I was carrying around a color sample sheet of all the colors that they come in and was comparing it to other color cars. She thinks I have just completely gone nuts and is telling me to " get one already". I guess I am just to particular to make a decision at this point and keep changing my mind on what I want. Money is not an issue I can get it now if I wanted, but I still keep looking. Maybe I am obsessing a little over this, did any of you go through this?
My wife threatened to kill me in my sleep if I didn't buy the GD vette already.... so I did and all is well............. Sometimes you just gotta pull the trigger and go for it!

Sure thing! I must have changed my mind a hundred times. And that was just the color! Let alone the rest of the cool options. I finally found inspiration, and it has to do with my Avatar.
Im on number five. It gets easier throughout the years. Had a C2,C3,C4,C5 and my C6 is due in early June. The only good thing is the insurance gets cheaper with age !!!!

Thats great!! glad to hear its not just me. Definitley will have to let the wife read these posts
Yes, I debated for 2 years about getting my C6 that sits next to my C4 in the garage, while I use my SUV for everyday driving.
I would suggest you just buy it.
Buying it is the only cure to your obsession
You don't have a clue about obsession yet: wait till you own one and become addicted to this Forum and to modifying your car to make her personally your own unique ride. This is not just a car, it's an addiction!
Be prepared for many sleepless nights as you agonize over which exhaust to buy or how to paint your calipers. It's just begun for you, newbie! I'm ony in my 6th week of this addiction and it hasn't gotten easier: I still lose sleep and can't go more than a few hours without checking the Forum to see what's been posted since I last checked. If you don't believe me, check some of my posts: they are in the middle of the night! I need professional help!

I think it's at its worst while waiting for a special-ordered car. I waited 12 weeks for mine to show up after I ordered it; my lady is too sweet to say so, but I was darn near impossible to live with during that time. I'm not sure which was worse, my impatience or the fact that all I could think or talk about was Corvette stuff.
BTW, just what is it that you're having a hard time deciding? Model? Colors? Options? Whether or not a Corvette is the right car for you?
I suspect that most of us are rationale, even objective people in other corners of our lives. What is it about this car that makes young men into hot shoes...and old men into (let's pretend) young men.
Only one way to find out. Buy one. Then another one. Then...

Repeat after me ... I am NOT ALONE ... I am NOT ALONE ... you are describing most of us on this forum .... get one soon so you can join the nut crowd here!!
Yep, been wanting another one for the last 15-20 years. Finally got a used C4 in 96, but had several problems with it, so when it was time for new tires, I traded it for a pickup truck that I really needed.
Decided I'd get me a new one, if at all possible, when I retired. Took early retirement in 2003 and got my first C6 in September 2004. Hope I can drive one for awhile.
