Darks Spots
Question, I just purchased a 06 Monty Red play toy about 3 months ago. I decided to wash and wax it today because the weather was nice here in Florida today. After I finish waxing the car, I noticed a dark round spot on the top part of the hood. I have no idea where this dark spot came from, but you can believe I was surprised and upset. Has anyone else experienced this with their Monty Red? Will be taking it to the dealer first thing in the moring.

Sounds like fish eye. They will probably want to re-paint the hood. I would live with it if I could. If they want to paint it they should be able to match it. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

a repaint is likely the only way and from what a good friend tells me MR is a SERIOUS pain to match. He always tells me "anything happens to your car, it's a total repaint." It stinks, but make sure you can't live with it, before you wind up finding out you hate living with a slightly different color hood from the rest of your car.

Go ahead and let the dealer repaint. Its no big deal, trust me on this.
Your car is new, the paint will match perfectly. The only problem will be the painter laying the paint "too flat". In order to match the orange peel, you almost have to do it wrong
Itll look great when it is done and youll forget it ever happened.

Will let everyone know the out come. Appointment made and the body shop manager said it will take two days.
