3 db of more output also. So yes a little bitty more power. Makes you wonder why they don't put more of a system in these things? Heard a lot of complaints about Bose. Can't be that bad?

But WTF does that mean?! That description is nonsense. Means absolutely nothing as a stand alone statement. db is a measure of sound pressure....a few % louder....thru crap speakers?! Not what I would call an enhancement...someone must know what specifically was changed.

I've heard good things about JBL, Eclipse....but I don't know first hand. Do you have some specific speakers in mind?

1db is barely perceptable. 3db is just a little louder but it takes twice the power into the same (or equivalently efficient) speakers to acheive it.

Sorry, didn't mean to say there was none...just that I interpreted the 3db=double the power as a linear relationship...which, as you point out it is not...it's logrithmic. None of which answer the question asked!
