Got the third replacement top installed yesterday. Paint match is excellent and it is the quietest & tightest fitting top of all.
The service manager is not convinced that GM has resolved the top seperation issue yet so he has ordered a transparent top at no charge to us as compensation for our troubles!!!
Your dealer is going the extra mile because of your inconvenience with this. I think you should publicize his name so that others can shop there as well. He knows what customer satisfaction is all about.

Sounds like you have a great dealer, IMO GM should be doing this for all the owners who have experienced this problem. I still wonder what is going to happen when one of these pieces fly off and damage another vehicle or possibly cause an injury.
There is A tsb/bulletin on creaking glass tops and the fix is to put spacers in the holes up there to quiet them and for a better fit.I had this done on my 05 and the top has not creaked since then and is easier on/off!It's a 5 minute fix.Check up in FAQ'S.
i think they should offer all of us with painted tops this option. i still will not take mine in until it falls apart to get a new one or march 25th of next yr which ever comes first. hope by then they figure out the issue but i would just assume they give me a glass top i know wont have this issue

When my top came unglued, I told the dealer that I would take a transparent top and that they could keep their POS painted top. GM came back and offered to sell me a transparent top for 700 dollars. I told them to take the top and place it someplace where it is very dark and smelly. I'm just waiting for the heat of Summer, when I can go through the whole thing again. --e

I love dealing with "small town" dealerships!!!
Yeah, small town dealers sometimes do go that extra mile. I am so glad to hear someone praising somebody besides Kerbeck for a change. Good deal.

I am so glad that I like the transparent top better anyway. I will never even use the body colored top when I get a C6.
My dealer is middle-sized, the salesman handed me a set of GM wheel locks after we got home from our NCM delivery because they put them on all new Corvettes that come into stock. Couple of weeks later he reminded me that I never got my full tank of gas from them. When I explained that the car came with a full tank at the Museum, he said something like "Well, you never got a tankful from US!" and told me to come back when my tank was almost empty. I was forced to comply...
And they had given me $4,500 off sticker price when I ordered the car.

Sounds like a great candidate for posting on the dealer forum thing there was a survey on.
