My beautiful C6 Vert has been at the service dept. since Wednesday. I'm having Corvette withdrawl. They gave me a free GM rental but it's not a Vette. Is there a 12 step program for this? I really miss my car, seriously
I know how you feel. Brought my C6 into the body shop this past Thursday, and it's due out on Friday. Beautiful sunny weather here today, sure do miss the Vette.
Problem started 6 months ago. I took my car in to the local dealer (Albertson Chevrolet, Culver City, CA.) because the fan at the radiater had broken. They ordered a new one and installed it. Got the car back with a scratch in the front left rim. The fan worked great and they denied scratching the rim; I don't go there anymore. The other day, the fan stopped working again; took it to the dealer I bought the car from in Glendale, Allyn Gwynn Chevrolet. They seem to have a good service dept. After examining the fan, the found that the harness that attaches to the fan had been fryed by the motor. They said that the dealer who installed this tied off the harness to close to the engine. New harness ordered and installed. Computer throwing a code that says to replace the fan. New computer on order. It will come in Tuesday and I'll get it back Wednesday. I have my doubts that a new ECM will fix this problem, but waiting and begrudgingly driving a Chevy Caviler, what a POS!

A young lady (no insurance) ran into the passenger side of my Vette. I was on a highway, she started from a stop sign--apparently didn't see me. Sheared off the valve stem on the rear wheel, so had an instant flat tire. Ran it for 75 miles to get home, so need to replace the tire. Total estimate is $3,500.
