Alright guys, Just talked to the dealer and he said that a lil while ago, a Yellow vette rolled off the truck. I'll b picking it up tom and dont know if I'll be able to sleep properly tonite.

Can somebody point me to the checklist that someone compiled. It was like things to do when picking up the new vette. I tried searching for it but couldnt find it.

I have seen a few very comprehensive checklists to use, but can't remember where. Hope that you find them or someone chimes in with the reference.

Here's the one I got from the foum and added a few things of my own:

One Week before Pickup
- Verify with dealer if you do/don't want
--Dealer decal (insignia) on car
-- Any remaining optional items you might want.
-- Front license plate holder installed
- Confirm "Amount Due" for your financing company (if financing external)
- Confirm trade-in value
- Confirm interest rate
- Confirm monthly payment and terms
- Inform your insurance company about the new car.

The Day (or so) before Pickup
- Confirm your coverage with your insurance company.

Day of Pickup
- List of things to bring
-- CD to test sound system
-- Good flashlight
-- Tire gage
-- Order paperwork in case something comes up missing, there is a price difference, incorrect options, etc.
-- Calculator to verify numbers
-- Camera
-- Checkbook
-- Pen

Inspection and Test Drive – Complete BEFORE signing any papers
- List of things that should come with your car
-- Owners manual
-- Vehicle warranty booklet
-- Tire warranty booklet
-- Roadside Assist booklet
-- Navigation DVD
-- Orientation and operation CDs
-- Rear cargo net and cover
-- Front license plate bracket
- Inspection Items
-- Confirm the VIN is correct
-- Check and record the mileage
-- Outside for fit and finish, damage, scratches, dings, paint swirls, spots
-- Headlight covers and seals (condensation?)
-- Windshield
-- Under front of car and air dam
-- Wheels and tires
-- Doors
-- Roof
-- Windows
-- Rocker panels
-- Rear fascia and exhaust tips alignment
-- Hatch glass
-- Tail lights
-- Side reflectors
-- Exterior trim for consistent color and properly affixed
-- Dealer logo not on car
-- Hood release
-- Hood, actuators and seals
-- All wires and hoses look well secured
-- Fluid locations, levels, lids secure, no apparent leaks or drips.
-- Wipers and blades
-- Inside for shipping damage, fit and finish, scratches, dings, stains
-- Door seals
-- Seats
-- Dash
-- Center console
-- Steering wheel
-- Carpet
-- Door panels
-- Behind seats
-- Hatch release (inside & outside)
-- Hatch area, actuators and seals
-- Door operation and seals
-- Door locks
-- Gas door release
-- Alarm
-- Key fob functions (both of them)
-- Roof panel removal and seals

Pre-Test Drive Checks
- Tire pressures
- Gas in tank (premium octane?)

Test Drive
- Engine start
- Headlights (low/hi), side, tail, brake, fog, dash, etc.
- Blinkers, flashers
- Interior lighting
- Seats (movement and heat)
- Mirrors
- Windows (up, down, index)
- Horn
- Check function of climate control (fan and temp)
- DIC
- HUD
- CD
- Radio (AM/FM/XM)
- Navigation (Version 2)
- No odd noises
- Car tracks well (alignment/tire balance issues)
- Car brakes straight
- No hesitation of engine
- Transmission smooth and quiet
- Paddle shifts, if applicable
- Steering wheel alignment
- Engine stop

Post test-drive
- Discuss any concerns from the test drive
- Do they suggest (or offer) an early checkup before the first oil change?
- Does the service department offer loaners or pickup/drop off services? This might be a good time to find out.
- Ask dealer if they would check 4-wheel alignment due to issues of misalignment noted by others (note, probably should be done after ~500 miles to let the suspension 'settle')

Before You Sign
- This is last. Double check all the numbers with the paperwork you brought with you. Use your calculator if needed!
- Verify VIN and options to invoice and financing paperwork
- Are you considering any extended service warranties?
- Ask about wheel and tire protection plan.
- Get copies of EVERYTHING!

After You Sign
- License plate(s) attached

Have fun!

add wheel hubs. Mine did not have any. They had to take them off another car.
I was so excited about getting the car that I didn't notice this.
