When getting on the PA Turnpike I got the ticket at the toll booth. I placed the ticket in in top slot where the ash tray mets the dash. Well 10 miles down the road my wife went to look to see how much the toll would be and could not find ticket. There is a slot right above the ash tray that drops behind the dash.(you guessed it the ticket dropped in this slot into the abyss behind the dash) After removing the ashtray I still could not access the area without taking apart the center console. Got to the Toll Booth and paid the full fair ($18.50) the Toll Taker did not want to hear my sad story. Got home that night and ran a bead of clear caulk along the seam so it could not happen again, Does anyone have any idea how to get this ticket out of the center console?? Also has anyone else done this?
My ticket flew out the top of the car last year(my c5,that is) on the jersey turnpike coming home from ECS.I only had 1 exit to go but I still paid 4 bucks for a dollar toll!To get your's out,You may need to remove the center console trim to get behind there...thank god it's only a matter of a few torx screws to do that!
Just use the center console storage compartment, or the cupholder or something. No need to start caulking all the seams, just don't stick important papers in there

Did you get a receipt for the full $18.50 charge. If yes, when you finally find the lost ticket, there is a form supplied by the Pa TurnPike Comm (get at a toll booth) that can be filled out to get re-embursed for the over charge difference. You need to attach both receipts to the form. Yes, I did the same thing in an 88 Pontiac Fiero.
