I have a question about non-run flats that I haven’t seen addressed in other posts. All tires get noisier and rougher as they get older. So even if you replace the original tires with new Goodyear run flats, you will get a substantial reduction in tire-induced road noise, along with improved smoothness.
My question for someone who has PS2’s is, can you say with certainty that at equal tread wear, new to new, midlife to midlife, or aged to aged, they are quieter and smoother than the original Goodyear run flats? Or is it possible that what you are interpreting as quieter and smoother PS2’s, is mostly just the improvement from old to new tires?

dood...i couldnt begin to tell you. since i installed my bullets, i havent heard chit else from my car but exhaust and stereo
if you are buying for tire noise reduction only...save your money. i highly doubt that the price tag for a set of PS2s is worth the slight difference you MIGHT notice.
but if you're really interested in a MUCH better handling car, then the PSport2s are worth every penny of the price of admission. i LOVE mine. LOVE THEM!!!!

I've got about 1,000 miles on mine and I agree, they are worth the extra $ you pay for them.
I replaced my Goodyears at 1,100 miles (they are still like new) and the PS2s are definitely quieter and smoother riding...... IMO, not noticeable enough to replace them for these reasons alone, but there is some difference.
1. Ride quality (slightly better)
2. Road noise (slightly better)
3. Looks.... I like the cleaner look of the sidewall and tread pattern.
4. The smooth outside edge on the PS2s don't catch and throw gravel nearly as much as the Goodyears do (better for the paint behind the wheels).
5. The PS2s, at least mine, took very little weight to balance. Check your Goodyears and I'll bet you'll see at least 2 1/2 - 3 1/2 ounces of lead taped to the wheels.
IMO, the handling on both is comparable and they stick like glue.

What's the cheapest price you found on full set of PS2s?
I know you asked Mayonayze, but I got mine in the stock sizes at a local Discount Tire for $1,347 out the door (mounted and balanced with taxes/fees)...... I haven't seen any cheaper and I shopped them at several places.

$1539 from tirerack w/road hazard insurance for each. shipped in one day.
another thing i cant get over, is the wet traction with the PS2s. i have no idea how they did it, but they are just as tough to break on wet surfaces as they are on dry. awesome!
I put ps2's on my c-5 and the ride was MUCH smoother, I still have the supercars on my new c-6 but when they wear( in a week, or month ) ps2 is what i will be buying
Thanks for the replies. My Goodyears are about 2/3 worn on tread depth, but have become very noisy. I'll probably replace them to quiet the racket before being forced to by tread depth. I'm leaning toward PS2's, and these replies reinforce that leaning. While I've had a few slow-leak, garage flats, the only flat I've had in 40 years that required a road side tire change was a road hazard encounter that also bent the rim, and run flats wouldn't have helped on that one. I suppose Murphy's law says my first will be a week after switching to non run flats.
