Default installation new console-questions-problem-HELP

Installing a new matching console and dash. I am following the directions, pulled the 2 screws in the inside console, pulled the console cover for better clearence/working room. They say pull upward to have clips release. I have it about 20% off, but am afraid to pull harder, it's really stuck, any harder and I am afraid of breaking something. Anyone can help if they installed one of these

Did you remove the screws on the side of the console beside/behind the emergency brake? If I remember correctly the GM instructions do not mention these. Hope this helps!

There are two screws under the front area of the boot of the hand brake. Need to pull up boot there are snap in connectors that connect boot to console and you can see screws from passenger seat. I think you need a 7mm socket. There is also a screw directly under where the F55 switch is at or where passenger airbag light (I have a '05). I beleive a 10mm socket is needed. Once you get all the screws out lift the console a bit and the armrest section can be pulled out. To me the toughest part was removing the connectors for the TA/AH button and the cigarette lighter socket. You need to press in a tab to remove the connectors.

Pop the parking brake boot off to remove the 2 screws and the panel along the right side of the console.

Thanks all, It's all done, went easy after that. The directions clearly make NO mention of those 2 screws. That's the ticket. Know the dash section, any suprises there? THANKS again
