Default Adding nav to base car???

My C6 got wiped out & I've found a base car at a reasonable price.I've found a nav head unit pretty reasonable but was wondering if there would be any issues being this is a base car??Thanks in advance.

My understanding is that it won't with existing electronics. Would have to be a stand a lone unit.

Yep. I was told a couple of years ago if I wanted nav in my Denali it has to be equipped from factory and dealer cannot install.

If you're adding nav to a base car, skip the OEM unit and get an Alpine aftermarket unit. The Alpine aftermarket unit is basically the same unit as that used in BMW and Acura.

My wife has this system in her Acura and it's simply a better system. For openers you can work it while the car is in motion (that is, the co-pilot can push the buttons while the Pilot drives) and the database is more complete than the database used in the Vette.

If I had it to do over, I'd get the 3lt, skip the Vette Nav and add an aftermarket setup.

Just my 2¢

I think the $300 Garmin is better than the Gm Nav
