Black is definitely worth the extra work to keep it beautiful. If you pay attention to your car then the extra work is not that much more and the benefits outway the effort.
Black shows off the depth and dimension of the car so much better than Machine Silver. I compared both and felt the MS muted the styling features to the point of almost appearing 2 dimensional.
Thanks for the salute. I have the strange disease that makes me love to wash and wax cars esp the Vette.
As far as Black being good for Garage Queens-
Does 33,000 miles qualify it as a Garage Queen?
My 66 is triple Black have owned her since 1994 , & drivin 18,000 miles including 10 runs down the 1/4 mile, was painted in 1994 by previous owner .......still shinny but has a few nicks , currently five foot paint , meaning from a distance of 5 feet away looks great.............. has 3 coats of rejeck on her & claybared once a season/ year love Black .....my 07 will be Black...again just my perverence my t66 is no Garage Queen>>>.runs 1/4 mile at 13.3 w 3.08 rear eagr & stock exhuast.just my 2 cents...Woof
I'd go with Silver. The paint is lighter color, therefore, there is less pigment in the paint, the paint is lighter the car is lighter and a lighter car is a faster car....... Just joking.
I have silver it still looks good a week after its been washed.
