I'm a little nervous as it has an auction purchase a couple of months ago but a clean title and runs good. The carfax is clean and I've driven the car. As far as a Corvette goes this one needs a little tender love and care on the exterior as there are a few minor scratches and the silver console inside is a little roughed up but I'm sure I can nurse her back to health.

The specs:

2005 Lemans Blue Coupe
19,100 miles
MN6
Clear top
Nav
Onstar
XM
Polished wheels
F55
6 disc changer
7 speaker system
1SB - so Hud, dual power seats etc.
25 months left on the factory warranty and a GMPP good for 75,000.

Asking $44,900
Available to me for $40,000 with a trade-in.

My big worry, this dealer bought it wholesale at an auction.

Your input greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Paul
The price could be a bit better, but I wouldn't worry that the dealer acquired it at auction. That's a standard way for used car dealers to obtain and trade inventory. If you really want to research the car's history, you can. The VIN leaves a paper trail that can be followed back to see who owned it, if they ever wrecked it, and what work a Chevy dealer has done on it, if any.

Thanks everyone for your input so far. I'm still on the fence and will be doing some additional research. This car does come back clean. I've had the service history run and a carfax. I'll be taking another test drive today to get another look.

Tracey,

Thanks for dropping in and putting in your .02. I'm pretty sure I can get a couple more off this one and the money that they are offering for my '97 is very good.

You should be able to get a new 2006 with the same equipment for about $5k to $6k more. The car you are looking sounds about $6 or $7 k high.

Go to www.corvette.com and price one out, then subtract $4k. Probably a bit more when the 2007s hit the streets.

Done and as I had found previously........not even close.

Exterior: Lemans Blue Metallic
Interior: Ebony Highwear Nuance Leather
MSRP: $49,285.00
Colors & Options: $6,335.00

Total MSRP*: $55,620.00

Even GM employee pricing wouldn't touch this car at this price with these options brand new. I can now get it for $37,500.00 I'm not sure where you guys are pricing your cars but please let me in on it. I do not want a stripped down 1LT or 1SX car just so I can have a C6. I want all the bells and whistles. The best deal I've found is $6500 off MSRP so that would get me in this car for $49,120.00 which is still an 11,620 difference over what I can pay for this car.

Sounds like you have made all great points that you are happy with. When all is said and done, if it's what YOU want to do, go for it and enjoy it. That's all that really matters anyway.

Kelly Blue Book says $45,900.00 for that car in excellent condition but you mentioned it wasn't in that condition? As mentioned shop around there is probably still dealers holding new 05's.
