I have Corsa Sports exhaust and like them (no drone) except for the burble and popping sound especially under deceleration. Some folks like it but to me it sounded like an old hot rod with .. glasspacks! The popping sound really drove me nuts. Anyway I installed the X pipe today and it is well worth it to me. It made a big difference in the over all sound quality. It’s now much smoother and deeper sounding. I would say it eliminated about 80% of those annoying popping sounds so I’m happy with my purchase. Frankly this is the way the system should have come from Corsa… Shouldn’t need to get jammed another 400 bucks for a system that was already a grand! Oh well.. the Corvette Tax strikes again… Bottom line is I would install the X-pipe again to get this kind of smooth sound from this exhaust system. BTW.. there is NO possible way I could install the X-pipe on my C6 using the Corsa instructions. They have the bolt up procedure exactly reversed from what I actually had to do to get it installed....
cthusker,
Glad to hear you are happy with the Corsa X-Pipe. I have the Corsa Sports and actually I am very happy so far. Could you comment on whether the sound is louder or deeper with the x-pipe? My wife thinks the vette is too loud with the Corsa Sports.

I would say the sound is deeper for sure... and perhaps a little more mellow. On the other hand I suspect we tend to hear what we want to hear after blowing 400 bucks! The over all sound isn't any less IMO but I'd say it's..... well... less noticable because you don't hear all that popping noise when you back off the gas. That's something I think you noitice more (popping noise) than the actualy db level. If you're just trying to make it quiter I think you should consider the conversation to the Corsa Touring. That I believe is quiter....
