Just picked her up yesterday. And it has been a blast visiting various friends, feeling like a rock star showing off the new ride. This thing draws a lot of attention, and being a low-key guy, it feels a bit weird with all the attention when I drive this thing.
The first night taking it home was a fun trip through the hills, when I saw the distinctive tail lights of a Stingray. It was a cherry 1970 Stingray, and they were cruising pretty slow as I passed 'em at my self controlled 55mph. They sped up and stayed a little bit behind me the whole trip, until we came out of the hills into town where they pulled up next to me at the light. We gave appreciative glances to each other's cars and waived hello. It was nice, and kinda felt like I had a classic Corvette escort for my new ride as I drove home the first night!
Thanks all...I'm about to log off from work here & take the commute train home for a well deserved cruise in my new baby - that's sitting patiently waiting for me in the garage. Woohoo...such a nice thing to look forward to after work!
