Do most of you with chrome wheels have factory chrome or do you go to an outside source. Do you think the ones from GM are overpriced? Or if you have them do you like??

factory chrome, I love them. They may be over priced, not sure but they look very good. Glad the dealer had them available, and glad I ordered them.
The factory chrome wheels are relatively new and pricey. I opted for the OEM chrome wheel exchange from WCC. I paid less than half for the WCC OEM option.
I ordered a 2006 Silver Convertible with the Chrome Wheels--and they look great....I didn't want to go aftermarket because its a Hassle and if any problems devlop down the road I want GM Installed...YES THEY ARE OVERPRICED.....Matter of fact I sold a 2002 ZO6 to a Guy in 2003 --Bumped into him this past week and he Fell in Love with Combo--So I ordered a 2007 LOOK a LIKE except the 2 Tone Seats--and he HOPEFULLY is going to Buy my 2006 in July...............HTG39@AOL.COM
What's this I've heard about the inner side of the factory chromes looking like primer or something? Is that normal? I would think they would at least be aluminum on the inside.

I bought WCC Z06 Chrome replica wheels for $1095.00 delivered. I sold my stock C6 wheels for $400 on eBay. Total cost $695.00 for great looking wheels.

Inside appears to be aluminum to me. It would be a struggle to clean deep inside throughout...my little hands can barely squeeze in there to wipe the aluminum clean.

I do think that the GM chrome wheels are over priced @ $1800+.
At Discount Tire, chrome wheels can be had for less than $900.
And they look like the GM chromies. Do the math, DUDE.......
If I ordered a Vette from the factory, I would order the cheaper "competition gray" painted wheels. And then go over to Discount Tire and get some nice chrome wheels. The difference in price for wheels would make-up for more than a one month car loan payment. And you would be lookin' good....

Good idea!!!!!
Did not think about this angle. I might do it after returning from NCM.

It's the vette tax . I was looking at the Saturn Sky for the wife, they have a polished wheel option for $5xx, and chrome for $7xx, don't remember the exact numbers. This was for 18's all around, factory GM.

I have the ones made by Factory Reproductions, Inc. . The wheels are stock sizes with the correct factory offsets.FRI has a dynamite guarantee on their chrome. The center caps for the new factory chrome rims will fit them with no problem.
