Ticking noise from engine when accelerating!

Ticking is usually normal injector noise. Most often it is noticable at idle.
I would not expect to be able to hear it on acceleration.
It probably does not apply in your situation but the only ticking noise I ever heard on acceleration was when my Crankshaft/Harmonic balancer bolt came loose.
