Corvette Vs. The World
I saw this post on the Ferrari forum, its funny to read how our C6's are really bugging them. Here is a qoute:
"The Corvette is the finest freeway flyer in production today. Of course, non-production cars can go quicker than mine, a legal car on the freeways of Southern California. It has taken General Motors six years to beat a twentieth century machine. I am still driving that old last millennium thingamabob, my Maranello 550.

Its nice to be spoken about by Ferrari enthusiasts. The C6 is a respected sports car, it has come a long way.

These Ferrari guys sound like true car people with clear vision, showing well-deserved respect to the Vette.......unlike the many pompous, tunnel-visioned Porshepines, who still think their overpriced turtles are the only shizzle on the planet.

You know I could like these guys...... Most seem to respect the vette for the value it represents in a high performance car! They also say it can run with some of the best cars in the world. Of course they love their cars and who wouldn't love a Ferrari? Compared to some of the other pompus azzes with lessor cars then Ferrari these guys seem to be stand up people. Corvette has come a long way in putting a very slick high performance car at a very affordable price. Now if we could just get more dealers of the same caliber as our cars....

you guys are comparing your corvettes to a ferrari, are you serious? I own a corvette vert, and love it,, but to say that a car deserves respect? Also to imply that the corvette is even in the same league is both silly and naive.

Corvette is clearly held to a higher standard and does damn well.
Those other cars cost fortunes usually!
And lets face it, they are freak shows that you not going to be able to drive everyday or go to the local Costco in or get parts easily enough for that matter.
Corvette is what it is. A dream the average person CAN get if they want it enough.
And if it makes those other guys nervous a mere Chevy is breathing down their necks or upset they spent more money for less performance. GOOD!

?!Of course 99.9% of people will consider a Ferrari better than a Corvette, but did you misread every post above yours? No one said a Corvette was better; they only said that Ferrari owners respecting the C6 is cool.

And yes, you CAN respect a car....as well as the engineering and design achievement it reflects. The Vette does deserve respect, and it looks like it's getting it from some Ferrari owners. Too bad a certain moronic Vette owner can't see that.

naw, i dont think so,, vette nv,, i like the way you are quick to catagorize people into slots,, im the moron and the porcshe guys,, well they are all ,,, !!! I was simply stating i dont try to respect nuts and bolts. Only people who have done something to garner respect. Im entitled to feel that, and im not saying the vette isnt great to own, but its just a car.
