"test drive"
So we get done playing golf at the Cruise In and mike erb tosses his keys to his A6 vert to me and says , check it out ,, what a nice ride, quiet, smooth and powerful. The paddle shifter is the schiznet. Interior is much better than my C5. Gonna have to get one real soon..

Hey Grumpy,
Sounds like you had a good test drive. They are a blast. I just made the jump from C5 to C6. Have a look here at this thread that I have up in C5 Gen. It has a link to some thoughts I just put together on the C6. Would you mind letting me know if it echoes your thoughts on the difference?
From one very leery of going from a4 to a6, all I can say is the a6 completes and darn near perfects the car. Busy??? No responsive. Dead zones? Not anymore, well just a bit at 40 but no where else. You always feel the power on tap as it gives you one, two, or three downshifts based on the weight of your right foot.Like everybody else, I played with the paddles but find myself just keeping it in Sport mode and not engaging them.
