C6 Storage
Purchased the GM storage tray that sets behind the seats. The quality of the thing is excellent, very heavy and fits snuggly. Actually according to the instructions you are instructed to (cut slits in rear carpet) lash it to the rear deck, but I was never one for the instructions. I passed on mounting the Storage Tray per the instructions because the thing is heavy as well as lapping over the vertical divider behing the rear seats, so that really seems to anchor it very securely in place. I know , I know, in a crash it could move forward and strike the occupants of the cabin. The storage issue in my coupe is now solved as I have a place for wife's purse, my cell phone & planner...

The contents stored in the organizers tray will be what is most likely to cause a problem.
After I get my '07 delivered and get my organizer installed, I was thinking about finding some way to put a latchable top over each of the compartments.
