Convertible Question
I have a power convertible top. When I twist the handle to either open or lock the roof, I loose audio to my NAV system (CD/XM, or whatever is playing) temporarily. This seems strange. Does it happen to you? What do you think the reasoning is behind this?

Now that you mention it, yes, yes I did. It was so quick that I wasn't sure that it happened but....

Mine does the same thing. I thought at first it was just XM cause that's practically all I listen to, but then this past weekend it actually faded out the warning chimes because I hadn't put my seatbelt on yet.
No idea what the reasoning is.

They do it so you can hear the chime, if needed, that tells you the top isn't secure.

Yes mine does the same. I think chadwick has the correct reason.
