If I am playing an MP3 CD and shut down the vehicle, upon my return & restart, the CD Player/radio/etc will refuse to play. I must then eject the CD and reinsert it for everything to begin working again.
Have not tried it with a regular CD. Also these are CD-Rs.
Not sure if this is the same but after I started mine the other night I had no radio/cd/etc. CD's would not eject, nothing. Pulled over turned car off, then started again, everything worked.
Never had that particular problem but I did have trouble with using generic CD-R discs that I burned. The player usually would go to track 13 or 14 and then not want to play and usually would eject the disc. I have since switched to Sony Music CD-R and/or Memorex Music CD-R media and have no problems. These are not ripped to MP-3, just straight CD copies. I have the 6-disc changer. 2006 C6.

I'll bet its your media, but you could try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or more to let everything reset....
My 6 CDer all of a sudden wouldn't play past the 6th song on any CD I tried. It did play all songs on an MP3. One radio station wouldn't stay on.
Dealer said bring it in and they'd do a reprogram. Then they tell me it's not a Nav with a 1 CDer...no sh-- and they would have to order a new radio. They never bothered to ask...what dummies!
But get this, when I hit the dealers driveway, it played past the 6th song on one of my CD's that the last time I tried wouldn't. Dealer said, "90% of all problems with cars, somehow cure themselves when they hit the dealers driveway...and it happened to me!"
