Default Corvette Museum

My son is in the 101st Airborne Air Assault out of fort Campbell KY. I’m going to visit him on the weekend of the 24th before he heads off to Iraq. We are planning to go and visit the Corvette museum. I know that if you are having yours delivered you can tour the factory. Does anyone know if the tours are available on Saturday?

Good luck to your son and his "Screaming Eagle" brothers. I am not sure about tours but call the NCM at 1-800-53-VETTE and ask.

Anyone can tour the factory, unfortunately, the plant does not generally schedule tours on weekends. They work a very sporadic over time schedule depending upon demand and capacity.

The tours are now booked directly thru the factory at this site:

http://www.bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/

From the site:

Days and Times
Public Tours are available three times a day, Monday through Friday, at 9 a.m., 11:30 a.m., and 1:15 p.m. CST. Please be on time. Tours will start promptly at their scheduled time or before, depending on large crowds. We will accommodate all guests. Tours are taken out in groups of 20 people, so if you are one of the last groups to go out you may have an extended wait time. Wait times can be up to 1 to 2 hours during our peak season. You will view a brief safety video and listen to an introduction about the plant before you take the tour. You will then embark on a casual one hour, one mile walking tour of the assembly area. Due to employee breaks and production issues, the assembly line may not always be running.

How to Get Tour Information
Keep up to date on the status of plant tours by checking back with this site. Internal business matters can cause cancellation of tours, so it's best to call ahead. If your schedule is already booked you will be notified of cancellations.

From the "facts" on http://www.bowlinggreenassemblyplant.com/

Production runs one shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:12 a.m. until 2:42 p.m. Overtime is added when necessary.
Doesn't sound to me like a Saturday tour is likely.

I've never heard of them doing Saturday or Sunday. Always weekday, and never when a new model is coming out.
