Default Newbie question

Anyone know how long it takes to have a C6 invoiced and shipped to the dealer after it is built? I was advised by my dealer that it was built, but they are awaiting invoicing. Any information would be appreciated.

There is probably a lot of variance there, but I am on the West coast and it took over three weeks before mine made it to the dealer from the day it rolled off the assembly line.

I picked it up the next day, and one of the salesmen said that someone already tried to buy it out from under me when they were unloading it from the truck. Ha, this one is mine suckers!

Mine was built 5-15, and released for shipment onf 5-29. This is from the papers I was given as part of the R8C in Bowling Green. So, Vette Gal, your was likely released for shipping on May 31, and is on its way, with several others, to California on a truck.

I got mine in 3 days from build date. It really depends on where you live and how many Corvettes are going to that area as well as the distance from Bowling Green.

Exactly, to many outside factors. Mine built 5/2/06, departed BG on the 4th. Arrived in west palm beach Fl. the 10th, so 8 days. I would say 3 to 30 days, but an average of 10 or 15 or so. That seems to be the "average" time. Allied was very helpful in my case. I knew arrival date several days before it was going to get here. It did, right on the date alllied stated. I don't have the ph number. But it's been posted if you do some digging. You will NEED the VIN. for allied to help.

Mine took three days after the build date to get to the Dallas/FW area.

Cars are invoiced within a few days of production. Only in rare circumstances does the dealer receive the car before getting the invoice. (GM wants their money!)

If you have your car's VIN, phone Allied at 1-888-227-4285 and ask them if they can give you your car's ETA. Sometimes they've been very willing to help, other times they haven't.
