I'm sure nobody is safe. One member while at the factory was told that new Corvettes are getting the same roof with no changes. It sounds like every roof installed on a C6 including the Z06 could have a problem. We need to see what the recall letter says. A/o now I don't think anybody has received one.
You should register on GMs owner center, www.gm.com. After you register you can check to see if there are any recalls on your car. I don't think there is an official recall out for the tops, or if there is it is just on a small range. Since we don't know what GM has done to figure out what VINs are impacted we will just have to relax and wait.
I called the dealer, and no recall on the roof panel or any other problem.
Am I safe from recall for the roof panel?
Great vehicle, as all my Corvettes have been!
Are you getting any of the signs or is everything solid? Do you live in a very hot area? I wouldn't let them mess with it until you know for sure something is wrong with your top and usually it seems to be there are early warning signs.

I went to this site it is for building your own car or to receive E-mails on models. Where is this registry for recalls?
You wait at your own risk. All tops are subject to delaminating. You can tell if you are having a problem if you push up (not real hard) on the headliner and hear a crackling noise. Do this standing still or you might pop the top off if has become weak. My roof began delaminating at the rear around the rear latch. Bottom line, get the top inspected, don't wait for a recall. This problem is not limited to vin numbers.

Push up from the middle of car middle of car? or push up near rear latch? I don't want to end up breaking it. "If it ain't broke don't fix it".

With the recall being announced and all these posts on the forum, I've become delamination paranoid. Every small noise and I'm thinking the top has started to come loose.
I've started checking every few days by pushing up on the soft headliner (which is glued to the top skin) at six points, each corner and middle forward and rear. So far, the top does not seem to be moving.

Careful you don't want to create any problems neither.

You have every right to be paranoid. When my car was perfect at 7000 miles, I was paranoid about the gas gauge. BINGO, GOT IT. Then with all of the threads about your car going dead, BINGO, GOT IT. Then all of the talk about delaminating tops, BINGO, GOT IT.
