Okay Corvette brothers (and sisters,) what is the trick to backing up this awesome machine. Every time I think I am going to hit a rear wall in a parking structure, I get out and see that I still have three feet left. Does anyone have any advise on trick they have learned to baking-up without fear?
No trick...you just have to figure out where the corners are located! I'm not being a wise-guy, it just takes time to get familiar with it (like most vehicles).
Get your wife or GF out there and practise backing up against a wall or another car...have her guide you to about 6 inches...and get a feel for what it looks like. Good luck!
I know what your saying, and it just takes a little time before you start remembering that your rear bumper is only a few feet behind you.
The real important lesson I learned is if you think you are not close enough when driving forward into a parking spot, you probably are already too close....scraaaaape

Like has been said already, it's just going to take some time getting used to the way things look. For me, it's not backing up, it's pulling forward into a space that gets me screwed up. I'm starting to get the hang of it now but it has taken some time.
I treat mine just like my motorcycle. Don't back up unless you have too. Pull into parking spaces then you're backing out into a wide open space when you leave. Most accidents happen in reverse in all cars. Reverse is only meant to use when no other gear will get you there.
