Default Frame Savers installed...pix!

Particularly if your car is lowered, like mine by 2.5" the front skid bars can take a beating. The tough nylon wheels really do help as you roll in/out of driveways and dips. LAPD (supporting vendor) did the install for free (Thanks Shawn & Robert!), they do have more in stock and the part cost about $80 and approx. $50 for labor.

Default frame savers

where did they mount them? I inquired about them acouple months ago when I took delivery as my drive way is sloped. I was told that if I installed them it would void the warranty! The good folks on this forum convinced me not to worry and I don't. so far no real problem although also I have not lowered it [yet] 1 cool vet

Don't you run the risk of doing more harm than good since, unless I'm mistaken, they're bolted to holes drilled into relatively flimsy radiator mounts?

I would think a good shot would break or at least damage the mounts.

The Frame savers mount to the side of the skid rail. Welding of the Frame Savers is optional. That news to me about the warranty void, the dealership I do biz with is mod friendly.

I can't really comment, only time will tell. The radiator-core support is four bolts and the ProCharger FMIC includes support brackets as it's sandwiched between the radiator core and chassis. I've asked advice from a few of my lowered C5 friends and they have no issues at all. Also, I did a search on the C5 forum prior to purchase to get some negative feedback, here's the link:
