I have a 2005 corvette, 18,000 miles, inside of front tires worn down to threads. Dealer says camber is adjusted on these cars for performance and this causes the extreme wear. Anyone else have this problem?

It sounds to me like your dealer is spending too much time talking only to other dealers. If you are that worn, that soon, you have a combination alignment/air pressure issue that should be corrected. The tires are adjusted for performance but you don't need that much camber.

That is total BS. The alignment spec calls for -0.45deg of camber on all 4 wheels, with a tolerance of 0.6deg. So the "performance" alignment will allow you to have positive camber!
You should tell him to put his money where his mouth is. Perform an alignment on the laser machine and if it's in spec you'll pony up for the service. Oh yea, don't forget to show up with a copy of this... http://www.corvetteforum.net/c5/toom...6alignment.htm
