Power top trouble
Having some trouble with the power top. The other day, I had to press the down button a couple of times to get the top to finish the operation. Tonight, after coming home and driving in the garage (thankfully!!), I pushed the top up button, the hatch unlatches, the top seems to try to start the up sequence, but no luck.Wont close either. I did manage to gently push the waterfall down and the device will grab and finish the job. Anybody else have come across this? Thanks

I had a similar problem some time ago. The tonneau would go up and then the top would go up about half way and stop. The problem was the motor which operates the system had failed and caused the hydraulic fluid in the reservoir to leak out. It could only be fixed by taking it back to the dealer and having the motor replaced, the lines flushed and the fluid replaced in the reservoir. Sounds like a lot. But when the motor came in it was about one and a half hours to repair, so I waited and drove away. There can be other issues such as the microswitches (two) which can and should be replaced. After both of these procedures were done I have not had a problem in about 6-7 months with the top. It's great when it works as it should. Good luck with yours.
